**Agency Overview**
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG) and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.

**About this role**
The Director Financial Accounting provides advice, expertise and leadership in relation to financial accounting issues, including the preparation of consolidated statutory reports and review of financial policies and procedures, to meet statutory and reporting requirements.

**Selection Criteria**
- Full membership of a recognised Australian professional accounting body with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Knowledge and understanding of the structures, processes and practice in the public health sector.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management principles, structures, processes and practice in the public sector.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues, with the ability to meet the competing priorities of stakeholders within a given timeframe.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation and influential skills with staff, management, and stakeholders, with demonstrates capability to foster and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships with professionals from diverse fields of expertise.
