**Job Description**:
The Position
This position will lead and support the Australian Procurement team to convey and deliver the corporate objectives throughout the procurement organization. Aligning the global and regional category strategies to best support the Global Business Units and Corporate vision.
The Regional Procurement Manager will ensure supplier partners fulfill the service, quality, and cost objectives of the business. Driving complex sourcing projects by leveraging cross functional business teams to achieve year over year productivity value.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver required value and benefits for Albermarle from Indirect Material and Services,-
- Seamless local Operational Procurement leadership, interactions, guidance and support- Responsible for organization design, talent enhancements and optimization, capabilities enhancements- Raw materials coordination with central category management for best local execution- Logistics coordination with central category management, global and local Supply Chain, for best local execution- Work with regional leaders to develop an integrated strategy for the categories that support the Divisional/Business and greater procurement objectives.- Manage leading edge projects across functions, ensuring compliance with procurement strategies and policies.- Manage spend within a designated category and ensure policy adherence to overall Supply Chain and/or Procurement strategy (agility/service, cost, cash, and quality)- Accountable for delivering the regional category with assigned procurement savings plan.- Tracking the savings for projects and ensuring savings objectives are met.
- Supplier Management and Market Knowledge_- Develop and maintain an expert understanding of the respective markets and interpret global trends and information into opportunities for increasing value across Albemarle.- Lead global change projects, including sourcing initiatives as defined in category plans.- Manage business relationships with key suppliers.- Ensure that Risk Management plans are developed, reviewed, and maintained for the area of responsibility in line with category and business strategies.- Develop an understanding of supplier capabilities and work with the stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies that are aligned with Albemarle's strategic plan.- Develop and maintain close relationships with all internal stakeholders.- Courageous leadership in driving challenging objectives and overcoming barriers.- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring of high performance teams.- Manage and measure work and effectively developing teams.
- Contractual Documents_- Ensure that all business relationships within the area of responsibility are protected by appropriate contractual documents.- Prepare, manage and oversee implementation of contractual documentation for suppliers within area of responsibility
- Commercial Negotiations & Sourcing Arrangements_- Develop regional sourcing strategies and business cases for the categories and ensure effective implementation and embedding of the output.- Develop, review, negotiate and execute complex business agreements and contracts.
Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements- 10 + years direct work experience in strategic sourcing / procurement organization within multinational company.- Extensive demonstrated experience working within a complex and changing environment with demanding business objectives and in a highly competitive market sector.- Demonstrated understanding of Capital and Indirect Procurement categories.- Expert knowledge of contract development, procurement operations and policy.- Extensive supplier relationship management and negotiation experience.- Ability to build relationships and partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.- Extensive business acumen.- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills and experience.- Experience in lean / six sigma methodology is strongly regarded.- Knowledge of Procurement technology tools highly regarded.- Ability to be adaptable and flexible while motivating and encouraging to achieve goals.- Ability to travel from Perth office to Kemerton site on a regular basis- Continuous learning mindset
Education / Qualification Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain field.- Master or post
- Graduate qualification highly regarded.- Frontline Management or similar.
