**Job Description**:
The Opportunity

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join our expanding ANZ Finance team. This position would suit a commercially minded self-starter, who has gravitas, with the ability to engage with a range of senior stakeholders and has a collaborative communication style.

This pivotal position within our team will be responsible for the development and execution of sourcing initiatives across Gilead's indirect spend, with a focus on ‘commercial’ categories, including agencies, meetings and events, market research and consulting services. You will play an integral role in partnering with and influencing cross functional teams around spend, analyzing supply markets, identifying sourcing value levers and executing competitive RFis/RFPs and leading supplier negotiations.

You will be proactive by nature and have a solid understanding and practical experience with SAP, this is an essential part of the role. In this position you will leverage sourcing tools and technology platforms when and where appropriate.

This position will report directly to the Senior Finance Director Australia and New Zealand, and will be required to establish a close working relationship with the Global Procurement Organization.

Role Responsibilities include:
- Strategic sourcing and vendor management- Lead supplier negotiations and multiple simultaneous sourcing initiatives, following the Gilead strategic sourcing methodology.- Manage the development, planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs- Ability to analyse spend/ cost improvement data to track project value delivery.- Manage supplier selection and develop data analysis requirements for informed supplier decisions.- Work with the Business Owner and Business Compliance team to ensure Vendor due diligence is carried out and that documentation and sourcing process evidence is correctly stored and maintained.- Work with the Bluestream (SAP) implementation team to ensure Source To Settle users are trained in SAP and vendors are set up correctly on SAP (Ariba).- Work with Finance and the General Manager to drive cultural shift in investment management, with a Zero Based Budget mindset and dynamic resource allocation and reallocation.- Work with Global Category Managers to ensure Strategic alignment in Australia, driving Gilead Value for Money.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills- Ideally demonstrated experience within the pharmaceutical/ healthcare industry, however open to other industries if solid SAP experience is present- SAP Experience, including SAP Ariba vendor platform, this is essential for this position- Strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy.- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to give formal presentations to internal and external audiences- Ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines.- Ability to analyse complex issues, execute sound judgment and make decisions.- Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.- Ability to work with external suppliers and commercial agencies, including advertising, public relations and medical education vendors to develop programs and materials as required.- Demonstrated ability to obtain, analyse and present data in the appropriate format and clearly explain what the data means.- Typically requires tertiary qualification in science, health or technology.
