**About the role**

Our Government Client is looking for an experienced IT Procurement Manager. The purpose of this role is to oversee and negotiate supplier agreements and manage contracts.

**Responsibilities**
- Influence policy and procedures covering the selection of suppliers, tendering, procurement, and benchmarking
- Ensure that terms and conditions are aligned with current legislation and policy
- Lead the procurement process, from clarifying requirements through to placing, monitoring, and terminating contracts
Oversee and measures the fulfillment of contractual obligations
- Identify where changes are required, evaluates the impact, and advises stakeholders about the implications and consequences for the business and/or the procurement element of programmes/projects
- Actively supports and engages with experts and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvements are identified through review and benchmarking processes
- Monitors and reports on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence
- Engage proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance

**Skills and experience**
- Experience in IT Contract management and/or Procurement role across a variety of process and functions, particularly in the areas of IT supply, license, support and services agreements
- Demonstrated experience in managing a Procurement and Contract Management function in a corporation or government department
- Proven complex procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings
- Ability in the leadership, management and development of a team, is desirable
