Role
As a member of the Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) team, approx 70 nationally, this role is focused on supporting the Business Development (BD) team in the development and preparation of marketing materials, tender/bid submissions_ (as well as maintaining content, tools and templates)_, as well as client engagement initiatives.
Based in the Canberra CBD office, reporting to the Senior Client Relationship Manager, you will be part of a national Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) function that supports the firm to:
- Develop strong and enduring relationships with our clients.
- Understand and identify opportunities in our core markets.
- Create memorable client experiences.
- Build a positive reputation as a market leader.
With the support of a close-knit team, this blended role will see you add value to the Canberra centre and broader firm through key responsibilities such as:
- Managing and coordinating successful live and virtual client seminars and events including end to end management of events, preparing invitations, compiling guest lists, event bookings, managing RSVPs, setting up webinars, rehearsing and coaching, and liaising with partners and clients to ensure the event runs successfully.
- Extensive use of data tools (CRMs) and event software platforms.
- Supporting the national business development team with compiling high-quality documents and materials and maintaining tools and templates.
- Account management activities including research and reporting.
- Researching, sourcing and recommending appropriate venues for events as required.
- Co-ordination and drafting of collateral associated with the event including invitations, presentations, brochures, signage, menus, name badges, seating plans and place cards.
- Providing a high-level of on-site and virtual support during events and seminars
- Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure bookings, catering, AV requirements, signage etc. are delivered to the highest quality for all events.

- Interest and enthusiasm for virtual, live and hybrid event management as well as business development & marketing.
- Ability to support with high-quality written communications, displaying exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability and confidence, from experience, to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands and deliver against deadlines.
- Working knowledge of marketing automation software and CRM databases.
- Advanced software skills notably MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
