Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintech’s and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.
**We are looking for a Digital Fraud Officer to join our Fraud Analytics team.**
Reporting to the Team Leader, Fraud Analytics, this role will be responsible for developing strategic response to mitigate against risks posed by the fraudulent provisioning of payment cards to digital wallets.
The Digital Fraud Officer will assess functionality and data to mitigate fraud and scam risks with digital wallet provisioning. The role is also accountable for managing data to perform analysis to measure and optimise rule performance. Additionally, to make data available for reporting functions, and to provide insights to the Fraud Operations Team, Analytics Team and clients.
**Role responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Assess and document functional capabilities of rules-based fraud monitoring systems as they pertain to the provision of payment cards to digital wallets.
- Provide recommendations on those processes to Fraud Analytics Team, Fraud Operations Team and Fraud Reporting.
- Develop appropriate data management protocols to store data extracted from monitoring systems to enable rules performance analysis and new rule testing, and to provide appropriate data to Analytics, Operations and Reporting teams.
- Make recommendations regarding ongoing performance of system rules.
- Become the Fraud Analytics Team SME on digital wallet fraud, and act as the first contact for any issues raised internally or by clients.
- Detect, and implement measures to prevent, fraudulent digital wallet provision at the earliest point in the process.
- Proactively analyse fraudulent digital wallet provisioning events and transactional data to identify emerging fraud trends & risks.
- Conduct outbound calls to clients’ customers to discuss potentially fraudulent digital wallet provisioning.
- Escalate significant items to management.
- Maintain SLA's and customer commitment plans.
- Assist the fraud product manager with establishing, developing & implementing new products.
- Assist the fraud product manager to increase the client base and growth objectives.
**About You**
- Knowledge of database concepts and standards such as SQL, clustering, modelling, and architecture
- Technical experience deploying fraud monitoring products for behaviour-based fraud detection, forensic analysis and pattern recognition.
- Understanding of law enforcement process, preparing witness statements, providing evidence
- Sound knowledge of digital payment products (NPP, PayTo, Mobile Wallets, etc)
- Sound knowledge of card related products (credit/debit cards, proprietary cards)
- Strong fraud management knowledge relating to retail financial products.
- Understanding of financial crime management principles.
- Knowledge of card scheme rules.
- Experience with card/digital fraud detection tools.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proven ability to build and manage strong stakeholder relationships.
- Analytical mindset and the ability to effectively problem solve.
- Demonstrated skills to influence in a collaborative manner.
