**The Opportunity**:
Our team is growing Excellent opportunity for a Back Office (Settlements) Manager to join our Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) ANZ business to lead and manage timely accurate settlement of spot market and financial derivatives transactions including maintaining contract documentation, administering contracts and producing revenue reports.
The role will provide direction and develop a small team and the role can be worked flexibly from home and our Southbank office.
Reasonable requests for part time work will be considered.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the General Manager Finance, GEMS ANZ, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the back office team which performs contract and spot market settlements/ This includes ensuring correct revenue entitlement is received and that payment and receipt of spot and contract trading settlement amounts using the Austraclear apparatus, independent of the financial accounts functions are accurate
- Lead negotiations with counterparties and AEMO regarding settlement disputes or queries
- Understand the AEMO metering and settlements processes to ensure compliance with metrology procedures and standards
- Lead creation and confirmation of derivative trade confirmations, ensuring accuracy with deal ticket and International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) conditions.
- Work with business stakeholders and Information Technology teams to plan and coordinate system changes as required.
**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have sound experience working in a similar role, preferable within complex multinational organisations within the energy trading sector. You will be able to manage complexity to solve problems and can challenge the status quo for the benefit of the team and organisation.
You have a collaborative approach and can build and maintain positive work relationships whilst driving results.
