Exclusive to Allura Partners, an Australian tier one private equity firm with a diversified portfolio and strong track record, is looking for a Group Safety Officer to work together with Executives to develop an understanding for addressing and providing solutions to safety issues.

This business in the waste management / manufacturing sector backed by private equity capital and a board that partners the leadership team to design the strategy, is planning tremendous growth in years to come. This opportunity comes with an attractive salary package.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Conduct rigorous WHS audits and regular inspections to ensure continued compliance, proper control measures are in place and to support continuous improvement in the safety culture.
- Work with all business stakeholders, including contractors, visitors, and the public, to provide guidance on safety requirements and expectations.
- Assist with risk management processes, incident management and investigations.
- Conduct and monitor site safety performance inspections.
- Facilitate and deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety forums.
- Implement strategies to identify hazards, assess risks to Health and Safety and prevent accidents and injuries on site

**About You**

You will have prior experience in a safety role within a waste, manufacturing or logistics business. You will have sound knowledge of applicable OHS legislation and experience in implementing risk management projects.

You will at least hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and a level 2 First Aid certificate. You must have the ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) with all employees, whilst having the ability of being assertive when necessary.
