Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Alumni Engagement Officer to join Alumni and Corporate Events, Business Development Portfolio, Chancellery Division.

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a motivated Alumni Engagement Officer to join the Alumni and Corporate Events team in the Business Development portfolio. The Alumni Engagement Officer is part of a small team committed to connecting alumni with meaningful engagement opportunities to create real world impact and lifelong connections. The role works across the team and with faculties and other internal stakeholders to implement bespoke alumni engagement strategies, programs and communications which support alumni career aspirations and help QUT realise its ambitions through strategic partnerships.

**About the Chancellery Division**

Chancellery Division is responsible for strategy, including Indigenous strategy, government relations and policy, assurance and risk, international, marketing and communications, and business development. The Chancellery Division is led by the Vice-Chancellor and President.

**About the Business Development Portfolio**

The Business Development Portfolio provides university-wide coordination and stewardship of QUT’s engagement with industry, philanthropic and alumni communities. Led by the Vice-President (Business Development), the following areas fall within the Portfolio’s responsibility:

- Office of the Vice-President (Business Development);
- Industry Engagement;
- Advancement; and
- Alumni, Venues and Events.

**What you need to succeed**

To thrive in this role, you will be someone who enjoys taking the initiative to provide excellent service and support across a broad range of activities each day.

You will demonstrate:

- Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in communication/public relations/marketing or a related discipline with a minimum of two years related work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake the coordination of programs and groups including high-level analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to complete tasks within established timeframes and budgets.
- High level written communication and data skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely across a variety of mediums with attention to detail.
- High level interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in relationship management and being agile and responsive to internal and external stakeholder needs.
- Proven planning and organisational skills, with experience in establishing own priorities and working within tight and competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of information technology to achieve operational outcomes efficiently and effectively including skills, experience and understanding of relational databases and demonstrated advanced skills in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other programs.
