**Your Key Accountabilities will include**:
- Assist the Commissioner in the leadership and oversight of the full range of Service initiatives and responsibilities by providing high level strategic advice, information and guidance on major resource management strategies, policies and key issues consistent with Government program priorities and service delivery outcomes. Provide leadership, direction and advice to ensure the effective and efficient development, provision and deployment of resources to the organisation as a whole to achieve strategic and operational objectives, in collaboration with other Deputy Commissioners. Provide high level advice and support directly to the Minister, Commissioner and members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on key issues impacting on the delivery of strategy and corporate services and policing services to the community. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Service's operations on budget and other resource utilisation (including physical and human) to ensure the delivery of improved and agile service delivery initiatives and the Government's policy agenda. Drive informed strategic and operational decision making and accountability across the Service through robust financial modelling, analysis and insight to maximise value for money and deliver fiscally sustainable outcomes. Develop a highly engaged and capable workforce and leadership team through a positive workplace culture of achievement, values and continuous learning with a shared focus on innovation and continuous improvement to deliver quality products and services. Participate as a standing member on the Service's governance bodies, providing strategic leadership and direction in the determination of Service policy. Represent the Service in a broad range of inter-agency and national forums on matters affecting the Service and the delivery of strategy and corporate services, and collaborate with key partners and stakeholders, building strong internal and external partnerships.
While there are no mandatory requirements for this role, relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in executive leadership within a large and complex organisation will be highly regarded.
