Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Director, Office of the CHRO is a strategic leadership position responsible for providing independent and timely advice to the CHRO and the executive team.
In this role, you will provide autonomous leadership and direction for strategic, system-wide transformation projects, as mandated by the Chief HR Officer while managing high-level, intricate, and time-sensitive initiatives for the Branch Executive Leadership team.
You will oversee the Executive Services function within the Branch, serving as a vital link between the Office of the Chief HR Officer, Office of the Deputy Director-General Corporate Services Division, and Offices of the Director-General and Minister for Health. Your focus will particularly centre on managing contentious, time-sensitive, or confidential matters that impact business continuity. Furthermore, you will establish and nurture strategic collaborations across the Department, Hospital and Health Services, and external agencies to ensure the delivery of Ministerial priorities and key reform projects. Additionally, this role will play a pivotal role in fostering robust and constructive professional relationships with various senior stakeholders.

**The successful person**:

- Experience in providing independent, confidential and complex support and advice to Executive Management within large complex public sector organisations.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills including the ability to resolve conflict positively.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal skills, as well as good team building and policy networking skills.
- Experience in leading and managing services to support improvement in organizational service delivery and drive improvements in strategies, policies and systems.
