We’re looking for a
**transformational leader to drive and own a strategic senior role at the helm of change in the infrastructure and resources space**. **ABOUT THE ROLE**
As Operations Manager, you’ll take on a vital senior leadership position within the strategy and performance team. You will use your expertise to play an integral role in the transformation of the organisation, leading the development of operating strategy, encompassing integrated catchment heath and water supply management practices, strategic asset and system strategies, targeted research and analytical modelling.

You will:

- Develop and implement a long-term strategy for operations, to meet performance and sustainability objectives
- Manage change - leading, engaging and inspiring teams through all aspects of the change process
- Facilitate strategic asset and systems planning, informed by scientific research, analytic modelling, and existing regulations
- Develop programs and implementation planning to meet its strategic, operational requirements that lead to performance improvement and the establishment of new business initiatives
- Keep highly engaged with research and modelling to promote thought leadership at the cutting edge of an evolving industry
- Ensure systems are optimised for innovation and resilience by mitigating risks involved with climate change, and championing sustainability throughout your strategic planning

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
This role will suit an experienced operational strategist with proven leadership and change management acumen, and a solid technical understanding of the infrastructure and resources sector. We are looking for a future-focused professional who is excited by the prospect of influencing strategy and sitting at the helm of important innovation and who understands the processes of operational transformation.

You’ll be confident in navigating the nuances of a highly regulated industry with multiple stakeholders and interest groups. You’ll be able to advocate the organisation’s position within this environment and mitigate its challenges, while staying focused on the objectives of long term performance and sustainability.

You’ll bring:

- Degree in a related discipline, post-graduate qualifications ideal
- Proven leadership and change management expertise, with experience influencing teams through operational strategy transformation
- Experience leading high-performing teams within complex organisations and environments
- Experience developing and executing strategies to drive business improvement
- Experience in a similar role in the infrastructure and/or resources sector
- Excellent knowledge of the resources sector (**particular understanding of water and integrated catchment management required)**:

- Knowledge of analytical modelling principles and an ability to translate research, data, and models into a clear strategic direction.
