The Strategic Leadership Opportunity

We're seeking a transformational finance executive who thrives on strategic influence and organisational impact. This isn't simply a finance role—you'll be a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, driving enterprise-wide decisions and shaping organisational strategy across all business areas.

You'll join during an exciting transformation period, partnering with a collaborative CEO to rebuild and strengthen the leadership team.

Your Strategic Impact:

  • Drive enterprise-wide strategic decision making as a trusted advisor across all business portfolios, not just finance
  • Contribute wisdom, curiosity, and fresh perspectives to challenge groupthink and elevate organisational thinking
  • Lead commercial analysis and business partnering to optimise performance across a dozen+ food & beverage outlets
  • Mentor and develop emerging leaders whilst building organisational resilience during this growth phase
  • Champion innovative approaches to financial sustainability and revenue diversification

The Leader We're Seeking

  • Demonstrate exceptional strategic leadership presence with 7+ years as Finance Director/CFO, particularly in organisations undergoing transformation or growth
  • You can articulate specific examples of how you've contributed strategic value beyond your functional finance expertise in leadership team settings
  • Hold relevant qualifications (CPA/CA) and bring proven expertise in commercial analysis, business modelling, and strategic planning
  • Excel at translating complex concepts into accessible insights for diverse audiences, including young, passionate board members aged 20-25
  • Thrive in collaborative decision-making environments where every leadership team member contributes across all business areas
  • Possess the resilience and adaptability to excel during organisational transformation periods
  • Demonstrate authentic passion for mission-driven work where your strategic leadership directly shapes student experiences

You'll be exceptional if you:

  • Have experience mentoring and developing finance talent in dynamic, purpose-driven environments
  • Bring proven ability to identify and implement commercial opportunities within not-for-profit frameworks
  • Know Sage Intacct, have led transformational system implementations, or understand higher education dynamics
