**About the Role**:
This Sydney Metro Council is seeking a dedicated **Team Leader of Strategic Planning** to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing an effective policy, strategic, and environmental planning framework for the Municipality. You will oversee a team of 8 strategic planners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes that meet both Council and community expectations. Your responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and updating strategic and urban planning policies and plans relevant to the operation of the Department and Division.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide an effective policy, strategic, and environmental planning framework for the Municipality that aligns with the objectives of the council and meets reasonable Council and community expectations.
- Oversee a team of 8 strategic planners, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Prepare, review, and update strategic and urban planning policies and plans relevant to the operation of the Department and Division.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and best practice in strategic planning processes.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, with a strong understanding of policy development and implementation.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
