This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Star Brisbane Events team is looking to appoint a Full Time Event Logistics Captain with experience in working on the floor, behind the bar or within event logistics. The Event Logistics Captain will report directly to the Event Logistics Manager and be responsible for supervising, guiding, and assisting the events logistics team. In this role, you will proactively manage the event floor staff across Logistics and liaise closely with our guests and clients to ensure you deliver a perfect event flow on the day. The Event Logistics Captain will work to accommodate a range of events such as conventions, exhibitions, functions, galas, and weddings.

**A few of your responsibilities**
- Supervise, guide and assist Logistics team with on-the-job training and development
- Proactively oversee and manage the Event Floor service flow and maintain performance standards, from bumping in/out, unloading trucks and motoring High-Risk activities, staff, and contractors to comply with QLD Government & WHS requirements.
- Follow instructions given by the Floor Manager daily for smooth business operations
- Continuously monitor the work of team members during shifts

**What we will be looking for**
- Strong knowledge and experience within a high-volume event centre or warehouse.
- Proven ability to build productive relationships and to manage and instigate change
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift Licence
- Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation

**About us**
