Join our team as the Event Logistics Supervisor at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The Events Logistics Supervisorposition is a hands-on and active role which will assist in the effective running of the logistics team in our Event Centre. In this role you will provide engaging and high-quality guest service and coordinate team members to maintain the service flow and performance standards of the outlet. You will be comfortable in operating a forklift, manual pallet jacket, and be able to complete physical tasks such as unloading stock or equipment.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Report all faults, repairs and maintenance requirements in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to the business
- Supervise the Logistics team members and assist the Management team with the training & development of the team
- Ensure an open line of communication at all times through daily shift briefings, and ensure a smooth transition and handover between all shifts
- Encourage a positive working relationship between Food and Beverage outlets and other departments within the company
What we will be looking for:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability in developing productive workplace relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
About You:
You will have previous experience in leading a team, preferably with proven experience in events or logistics. Your inspiring leadership and exceptional communication skills enable you to create a positive working relationship between departments within the company. Driven by challenges and passionate about Events, you are a dedicated problem-solver with a commitment to developing your team.

About Us
The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
