Reputable builder on the look out for D&C Assistant for multiple luxury homes/apartment projects in Melbourne

Your new company
Hays have partnered with an established commercial / luxury residential builder who have a great reputation of delivering both medium-rise apartments (up to $50m) and luxury homes (up to $25m). Based in South Melbourne, they are on the lookout for a Design Assistant/Coordinator to join the growing Pre-Construction team to work on up-and-coming projects.

Your new role

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager you will be responsible for:

- Document control of Head Contract and Letters or Intent Implementation of project delivery processes to ensure projects are handed over efficiently
- Provide assistance in preparing tenders, researching, analysing data in order to estimate the time, money, materials and labour.
- Design Development of Projects for D&C implementation
- Liaise with government authorities such as VicRoads, Yarra Trams etc
- Assist D&C Manager with daily operations.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a Design Coordinator, Estimator or Contract Administrator role for a similar business.
- A tertiary degree or trade qualification relevant to Construction/ Design/ Engineering.
- Understanding of the BCA and Australian standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite & Bluebeam
- Experience in CHEOPS or similar project costing software
- Awareness of OH&S Act and regulations
- The ambition to commit and progress long term the business.
