**The Opportunity**
***Our Child Physical Activity, Health & Development team focuses on improving children’s physical activity levels, health and development and we are running several studies that look at increasing children's physical activity.
You will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment process, data collection, cleaning and management, conducting data analysis and preparing written publications and reports.
Some of your duties will also include:
- Conduct analysis of quantitative (and qualitative) data.
- Communicate and liaise with chief investigators, partners and participants.
- Contribute to high impact or quality publications.
- Work cohesively and collaboratively with others - both internal (direct team members) and external (other The Kids Research Institute staff or collaborators).
- Provide training, assistance and supervision of staff, volunteers and postgraduate students.
Conveniently located within the Perth Children’s Hospital, this will be offered as a full-time opportunity (1.0 FTE) for 2 years in the first instance with the possibility of extension.
***About You**
***To be successful in this role, you must have a Postgraduate qualification with a substantial research component, e.g. public health.
The key to your success will also be your demonstrated experience in the following:
- Experience in coordinating research projects.
- High level statistical and analytic skills.
- Experience in study material development.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills including plain language summaries and the preparation of manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience working effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team, including external collaborations in collaborative research environments.
- Experience in disseminating and translating research findings and working with stakeholders.
