The Role
We’re on the hunt for an Associate Environmental Consultant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and deliver contaminated land assessments that matter. You’ll work closely with technical leads, regulators, and auditors to assess risk, manage sites, and influence major redevelopment projects across QLD and beyond.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
- Conducting preliminary and detailed site investigations (PSIs, DSIs)- Designing and interpreting sampling, analysis and risk-based site assessments- Preparing remediation action plans and site management strategies- Developing Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) that hold water- Writing reports that are clear, sharp and regulator-ready- Collaborating with clients, auditors, labs and field teams- Guiding junior staff and contributing to a strong team culture
What You’ll Need:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar- 3-6 years of experience in contaminated land consulting- A solid grip on NEPM and relevant QLD guidelines (ESR, DES, CRC CARE)- Fieldwork confidence + technical writing chops- Strong client communication skills and commercial awareness- An analytical brain and practical, solutions-focused mindset
