Our client is an enterprise organisation looking for an experienced Database Administrator with extensive experience working on Oracle and MSSQL.

This role is an initial 6 month contract + extensions with flexible working arrangmenets.

**Experience**:

- _Extensive experience in managing large, complex and critical Operational IT environments_
- _Demonstrated experience in Database related technologies in both on premise and Cloud environments._
- _Hands-on experience in the design, implementation and support of infrastructure solutions._
- _Experience with infrastructure project delivery._
- _Exposure to multiple database technologies with _**_MSSQL and Oracle mandatory_**_._
- _History of large scale Database services transformations using change management structures._
- _Proven initiative through effective problem management with demonstrable improvements i.e. reduction in incidents, improved SLA, improved availability and reliability etc._
- _Has streamlined the service by using robust process and automation where ever possible._

**Technical and/or Professional Qualifications/Skills Required**
- _Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline._
- _Excellent planning, communication and presentation skills._
- _Excellent negotiation skill and ability to influence outcomes._
- _Ability to interpret and provide input to complex IT designs._
- _Must be an expert in one or more Database technologies i.e. Oracle, MSSQL, PostgresSQL, RDB with proven operational history in a second or more._
- _Must have in depth knowledge and hands on experience in Highly Available database solutions eg Oracle RAC, MSSQL Always On or Clusters._
- _Knowledge and experience with technology specific coding language for automation, eg Powershell, Oracle PL/SQL._
- _Excellent management of high volume change management requirements._
- _Certification is desired._
- _Must have strong communication skills - both verbally and written and can articulate ideas at appropriate levels depending on the audience._
