**Location**: Melbourne CBD, Full-Time Permanent or Contract.

Our client is looking for a experienced Database Administrator or Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation, support, and maintenance of a large enterprise environment. With flexible work arrangements, including the option for hybrid work, they are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the customer platform by performing Level 2 and 3 platform support.
- Manage and administer PostgreSQL database products on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Install system-wide software and provide support for database hardware and software.
- Tune system performance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Implement and test database upgrades.
- Design and execute data migration activities.
- Maintain comprehensive database design and implementation documentation.
- Implement organisational objectives for database improvement and compliance with industry standards.

**Requirements**:

- Australian Citizen - Ability to obtain clearance.
- Substantial professional experience working in a role within an engineering or project environment.
- Strong skills and experience with **PostgreSQL** are essential.
- Proficiency in **Linux** (RHEL) is required.
- Familiarity with **Oracle** and **Microsoft** databases is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
