As our Aboriginal Cultural Navigator, you’ll be the cultural compass guiding MercyCare’s leadership and teams through meaningful engagement, project design, and community collaboration. You’ll bring your lived experience, cultural wisdom, and strategic insight to the forefront—ensuring Aboriginal voices are heard, respected, and embedded in everything we do.

**About the role**

This is a new and unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting MercyCare’s Aboriginal Pathway Strategy team through cultural insight, project coordination and community engagement.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead and support Aboriginal initiatives that make real impact
- Provide cultural guidance across projects, services, and strategies
- Collaborate across the organisation, community partners and stakeholders
- Drive innovation through training, consultation, and evaluation

**About you**

You’re someone who brings lived experience, cultural knowledge, and a strong commitment to making change happen. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

You’re confident supporting projects and working across teams, but just as comfortable sitting down for a yarn and building trust. You know the value of community-led work and are ready to bring that perspective into a larger organisation working toward reconciliation.

**You’ll bring**:

- Cultural insight and deep respect for Aboriginal people, culture and history
- A passion for community, justice, and cultural empowerment
- Experience in Aboriginal program/project delivery that engage Aboriginal communities
- A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a flexible approach to problem-solving
- Solid administration and organisational skills, and confidence using tools like Microsoft Office, preparing reports and document management
- A desire to contribute to real outcomes for Aboriginal children, families and communities
- To be considered, you’ll need to hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance (issued within the last six months)
- As a position **under Section 50(D) of the Equal Opportunity Act WA evidence of Aboriginality with demonstrated lived cultural experience is required**
