Peer Navigator

Mental Health Drug & Alcohol – Bourke / Brewarrina

About the role

The Peer Navigator will draw upon their lived experience of mental health challenges and their personal recovery journey to develop empathic relationships and support personal recovery for people who access the service.  The Peer Navigator will promote, encourage, facilitate and support effective recovery activities which assist people to maintain their mental health and wellbeing. You will work collaboratively and positively with consumers and staff to promote engagement of people in their individual treatment and recovery.

This position will be based full time in Bourke with an outreach service to Brewarrina. The working hours being 08:30am – 5:00pm, working closely with the Community MH team and the Ngo's and agencies within the community.
