We are excited to offer a position for our first Social Worker with the mental health accreditation to join our current team of psychologists, for our Brisbane clinic in **North Lakes**. Established social workers seeking a career change, early career and new graduates are all welcome, provided you have gained the mental health accreditation in order to provide services under the Mental Health Care plan for medicare purposes. Applications without the above qualification/accreditation will not be considered.

**About the role**:
Upon commencement you will be provided training speficially in evidence-based gut-specific psychotherapies.

This is an ideal opportunity to develop expertise in this emerging field of brain-gut therapy, with an immediate and growing case load provided. Consulting with adults and offering the option to consult with children and adolescents, providing both in-person and online appointments to clients.

The successful applicant will be provided with individual supervision and training with leading expert in the filed and clinical psychologist and Founder/Director, Dr Jim Kantidakis. With peer meetings and group supervision, you will be given the opportunity to work and collaborate with positive and like-minded professionals and become part of an awesome team.
- Flexible start date and hours, start soon or early 2025
- 2 -4 days (2 days in clinic and 1-2 days work from home option)
- Practicing evidence-based psychotherapies, including CBT
- Working with diverse clinical presentations including a broad range of health and gut-related disorders

The Gut Centre provides evidence-based interventions for clients experiencing a range of health related conditions with a focus on treating disorders of gut-brain interaction. This is the bidirectional communication between the central and the enteric nervous system, linking emotional and cognitive centres of the brain with gastrointestinal / digestive functions. Gut disorders may range from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) to counselling for Inflammatory Bowel Disease, as well as diverse clinical presentations including co-morbid anxiety, depression and trauma.
