**About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to deliver a high quality, evidence based Social Work clinical services to mental health consumers with complex mental health issues, their families, carers and relevant stakeholders, within the Mental Health Short Stay Unit. This position operates as a member of an integrated, multidisciplinary mental health team with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a Recovery and trauma-informed framework.

About you

Provide Social Work psychosocial assessments, clinical formulation, mental state and risk assessments and timely goal-directed Social Work interventions.
Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team by providing routine social work advice and contribute to the development of individualised treatment plans including discharge planning and service provision.
Deliver clinical education and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Social Workers, students and members of the multidisciplinary team, commensurate with level of experience, with the support and guidance of senior clinical staff.
