Job Description Summary

Exciting new opportunity for an Environment Manager to to join our ConnectSydney Health and Safety team supporting a major transport project
About the Role

ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. We are looking for talented, motivated and driven individuals to join the team who will be committed to delivering innovative, customer-focused and sustainable outcomes whilst also establishing a positive legacy for our customers and community.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance reporting and performance of ConnectSydney is aligned with the Group compliance framework requirements and targets for relevant laws and regulations
- Lead the development of Environmental assessments documentation to support the delivery of construction and maintenance works
- Monitor compliance audits against the Group Environment, Health & Safety Management System requirements
- Ensure Group legislative requirements or compliance related business risks are identified
- Review and help improve the Environment, Health and Safety governance structure
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Environment, Health & Safety reports.
- Develop and report monthly performance indicators
- Design and develop analytic reports in line with contract requirements
- Assist in the development of reporting requirements as part of the Compliance Reporting Initiative
- Prepare environmental components for the ConnectSydney website and communications

About You
- Demonstrated experience in an Environmental role, ideally working on roads/transport projects
- Experience and/or knowledge of the construction industry, cost/benefit analysis methodologies, corporate social responsibility and sustainability principles, green building design principles, and the relevant environmental legislation are advantageous
- Well-developed communications skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property, Engineering, Science, or Environmental Management are highly regarded
