We are now seeking applicants to join our Accounts Payable team as a Accounts Payable Officer. This opportunity is a critical role that provides remote support to the ongoing success of each of our branch operations.

Note this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Reporting to the Team Leader, the main objective is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing invoices and generating and monitoring payments and expenditures. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that creditors are paid within established time limits.

Some of the main duties of the role include:

- Receive and verify all transactional documentation.
- Handle all actions relating to transactional batches within SUN program.
- Manage daily and weekly payment runs.
- Prepare manual cheques as and when required.
- Responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders within agreed service levels.
- Maintain an effective and efficient filing system for all transactional documents.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial documents.
- Ensure accuracy of payments.
- Monthly reconciliation of key creditor accounts
- Maintain Payment Register
- Provide Auditors documentation as requested

Who are we looking for?

This role will be suited to an individual with experience in a range similar tasks relating to the Accounts Payable function.

Previous experience in the following areas would be highly advantageous:

- Previous experience in similar roles or nature
- Understanding of general financial tasks
- Invoicing & month end reporting
- Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Suite & Outlook experience
