Sporting the dual crown of Australia’s oldest dairy and Australia’s most innovative dairy, Brownes Dairy has an opportunity for a Technical Services Officer (Quality Officer) for our Dairy Food Plant & Systems, located at our Balcatta office in Perth.

**The Role**

This role supports the maintenance of all external accreditations regarding food safety and regulatory compliance for Brownes Dairy.

The role supports the development of HACCP and Quality system procedure development for all products, processes and materials.
- Provide support and assistance with the activities required to maintain accreditation, HACCP, Export, BRC, Spotless, WQA, Aldi.
- Primary contact in external audits in the absence of the Quality Systems Manager. Report on all auditing activities, including supplier and depot audits.
- Co-ordinate, schedule and follow up on internal audit program. This includes internal and housekeeping audits at the Balcatta site and the depots.
- Maintain develop and improve Brownes quality system program. This includes HACCP, HOLD, CARS and document control.
- Increase the level of understanding of Quality system and HACCP requirements at the operational level, this includes HACCP awareness training.
- Liase with DFP Operational areas of Brownes and recommend quality improvements as appropriate.
- Manage the Pest control program for Balcatta site.

***What you would bring to the role**

***Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the food industry in a Quality Assurance role with HACCP and internal auditor training
- An ability to think outside the box and make things happen - someone who will use their initiative
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation
- Have the ability to foster a co-operative environment where others can be comfortable sharing their thoughts, even if they may be different.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards

- The Technical Services Officer role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. You will work in a team with a focus on coaching and mentorship and in return you will receive a competitive salary.
