**Role Title: Aboriginal Service Support Officer**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**End Date: 6 Months from start date**

**Location: Campbelltown, 1 day Work From Home.**

**Pay Rate: $550 p/d plus super**

**The Client**:
This amazing government organisation works to achieve better outcomes for Aboriginal tenants and clients through partnerships with Aboriginal organisations, human services agencies, and by creating study, work and business opportunities while keeping Aboriginal culture at the forefront of all its projects.

**The Role**:
To provide tailored, trauma informed support for vulnerable Aboriginal people within established program parameters, while being responsive to individual and community needs. The role works directly with clients with complex needs, local service providers and community networks to ensure a holistic response is provided. The role maintains a focus on client needs and operates within an environment of program growth and development.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Effectively establish trust and work with vulnerable clients to identify and respond flexibly to individual and family needs within defined program guidelines and in partnership with other service providers.
- Work with other team members to identify and respond to local risks and opportunities impacting on the program and/or region.
- Build effective stakeholder relationships across service providers and the business, and engage in localised networking opportunities to promote the program.
- Working within program guidelines while responding to the varied community and client needs, and balancing competing priorities to meet client and program needs.

**Essential requirements**:

- Knowledge of Aboriginal communities and the complex issues within.
- Previous experience in a similar role (Support officer, community engagement, HR).
- Licence and reliable transport (preferred)
- Current WWCC (Working With Childrens Check)
