**the Opportunity**:
The P&C Insights and Reward Analyst drives data-driven decisions across the employee lifecycle. This role leads P&C analytics, using data from systems like SAP and Spinifex to provide insights on workforce analytics, reward and retention. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality reporting, partnering with the P&C team to improve data quality, and supporting the Head of People Services and Reward with BAU reward activities.
**Specifically you will**:
- Gather, consolidate, and cleanse people data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Implement data quality checks and processes. Act as a champion for data governance and best practices.
- Support and contribute to strategic P&C projects, such as WGEA reporting, gender pay gap analysis, job architecture implementation, and other initiatives requiring data analysis and insights.
- Conduct salary analysis and benchmarking, support remuneration reviews, and analyse the effectiveness of incentive plans.
- Oversee, contribute to and maintain workforce reports via our P&C reporting and information system, (SAP and SpinifexIT) to provide accurate employee data on headcount/FTE, turnover, vacancies with a view to simplify the reporting process.
- Taking a lead on the position classification, across salaried and waged staff and performing regular audits on SAP Org Structure reporting to improve the data quality
- Support the Head of People Services and Reward and the P&C Business Partners in ad-hoc project work to enable transformation of business processes and assist with the provision of customised reports e.g., position management reports, promotions, leave balances and ESG reporting.
- Partner effectively with P&C business partners and business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven solutions. Communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely.
- Design, build, and maintain automated reports and interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel. Empower HR and business leaders with self-service reporting capabilities.
**What you will need**
This role is critical for the P&C function, requiring strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and some experience in data visualisation and dashboard development tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) plus advanced Excel skills
- Continuous improvement mindset and a desire to make things simple, yet effective.
- Proven experience in people analytics, reporting and data analysis (essential)
- Understanding of job evaluation methodologies, some reward knowledge and market benchmarking
- A passion for working across reward, data and reporting.
- Learning agility, needs to be able to learn quickly can work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail
