Help people create their tomorrow, while you create yours

We help people with their banking, super, retirement and finances. Through upturns, downturns, recessions, and major life transitions. Every day, we help people see and make more of their financial potential, so that they can create their tomorrow. And we've been doing it for over 175 years.

If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.

How will you make an impact

This role plays a critical role in enabling data-driven marketing strategy at AMP. By extracting and interpreting actionable insights from complex customer and campaign data, this role helps shape and optimise lifecycle marketing initiatives across AMP's business units.

This role is pivotal in improving the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of marketing activities by identifying opportunities for more targeted segmentation, better customer journey experiences, and enhanced campaign performance. By proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of marketing analytics processes, the analyst helps AMP maintain a competitive edge in delivering compelling, customer-centric solutions.

What you will bring to the role

  • Previous experience in a marketing analytics, customer insights, or data analysis role, preferably within financial services, retail, or similar data-rich industries
  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, business analytics, marketing, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise with analytics and visualisation tools, particularly Jupyter notebooks and Power BI. Experience with Customer Journey Analytics, SQL, Python, and other relevant tools highly regarded
  • Proven ability to perform data wrangling, cleansing, and preparation of large and complex datasets for analysis
  • Strong experience with customer segmentation, campaign analysis, and insight generation to support marketing strategy
  • Track record of presenting analytical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, with an emphasis on data storytelling and influence
  • Familiarity with data privacy, security and governance principles, especially as they relate to customer and marketing data
Experience working in a cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with marketing and product teams
