This role will report to the National Sustainability Manager - Asset Creation and will work with the National Sustainability Coordinator and Regional Sustainability Managers in the Communities team. Key stakeholders include NSW General Manager, project teams, consultants, the GBCA and industry partners.
Specific roles and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting projects in origination, conversion & delivery to set & implement project sustainability strategy aligned with our framework and targets
- Embed design standards
- Upskill the NSW&ACT business in sustainability, climate change adaptation and Mission Zero targets
- Supporting the business to establish electrification / renewable strategies to support Mission Zero
- Supporting projects to pursue innovation / stretch opportunities
- Conducting sustainability project reviews
- Business Unit reporting
- Lead/contribute to a climate action workstream e.g., renewable energy strategy
You will bring at least 5 years’ experience in a sustainability role within the property industry, experience in master planned communities is essential. You will ideally hold a degree in engineering, planning, urban design, architecture, environmental science, property, sustainable development, sustainability or equivalent. Knowledge on industry rating tools, certifications, and benchmarks such as Green Star, NatHERs etc is also required. The ability to influence and think strategically is key to our team’s success.
