Supporting Bupa’s purpose of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives, our team of Nurse and Dietitian health coaches use their clinical expertise and intricate knowledge of the health system to deliver support and guidance to our customers through multiple channels. Our programs are designed to help our customers feel supported, informed and understood as an active participant in decisions around their health and wellbeing.

We are currently recruiting Health Coaches with current Nursing and/or Dietitian experience to join our growing team of health professionals.

**Opportunity snapshot**

The Health Coach provides a key customer engagement experience which supports Bupa’s business and service delivery goals through the position of Health Coaching Services.

Underpinned by behavioural change methodology, the Health Coach is responsible for delivering a variety of telephone based, person-centred coaching programs, providing a range of current, evidence-based, best practice health information and support to customers. The primary focus is to motivate and inform a customer regarding their health and wellbeing choices in order to become a more active and engaged participant in the management of their own health.

As a Health Coach you will support our customers with the knowledge and tools needed to take care of their health, help navigate the complexities of the health care system, and empower them to take action to achieve health goals and sustained behaviour change for improved health and wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates to get started in their professional careers or for experienced Registered Nurses/Dieticians looking to transition into the corporate health service space.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist customers in developing action plans to address opportunities for health improvement that are valuable to the customer
- Assess health status and provide person centered coaching and support to help customers self manage their condition/risk factors and achieve their health goals
- Connect customers to programs or services that are right for them via outbound and inbound channels
- Guide customers to build on their knowledge, skills and confidence to support self-management of their health goals
- Manage individual caseload of customers scheduling and managing all coaching interventions in line with program guidelines
- Achieve individual productivity and call quality measures including new customer enrolment targets, caseload management and program completion targets
- Opportunities to participate in various continuous improvement projects to enhance customer experience

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will require:

- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (Div 1) qualification and AHPRA registration **OR **Degree and Clinical qualifications in Dietetics. Eligible for membership of Dietitians Association of Australia
- Open to both new graduates and experienced health professionals
- General acute and/or community health nursing experience ideal however not essential
- A friendly and confident telephone manner, with experience providing clinical care and advice over the phone (Desirable)
- Experience in Health Coaching is highly desired however not essential
- Proficient and confident in windows-based computer software and ability to work simultaneously and efficiently with telephone-based duties
- Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to educate and motivate individuals
