**Our client is an active manager of major long-term PPP infrastructure assets on behalf of investors. With the vision of being the trusted partner of choice for infrastructure solutions throughout Australia and New Zealand, our client draws upon their highly qualified staff to unlock the potential of infrastructure to benefit all stakeholders. They are looking for an experienced development and projects professional to join the executive lead team and provide leadership from inception to implementation of all major projects in addition to identifying new commercial and marketing opportunities.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As the General Manager Development and Projects, you will be responsible for developing and leading the delivery of the strategic projects vision as well as identifying new strategic value enhancing market opportunities and projects beyond the scope BAU contract projects.

Key responsibilities include:

- Increase long term commercial, value enhancing outcomes by developing and delivering strategic business opportunities in a PPP and non-PPP environments.
- Strategic oversight of projects with strong client and stakeholder management focus in accordance with best practice principles.
- Influence external stakeholders to secure support for strategic opportunities that facilitate the delivery of the company’s long-term growth strategy.
- Identify and deliver interdependencies and synergies across multiple projects.
- Lead and take responsibility for negotiations with government bodies, construction partners, financial institutions, investors and third parties.
- Strategic oversight of project, marketing and communication frameworks based on industry best practice.
- Drive operational and functional excellence within the Projects Team.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets, cash flows, financial performance and forecasts and deliver and present such information to the Project Steering Committee and Board.
- Protect project capital and the interests of shareholders.
- Ensure all project work complies with all statutory requirements and in a manner consistent with policies and procedures.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Qualification in a relevant discipline e.g., Business, Finance, Construction, Engineering, Project Management.
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Business (desirable).
- Senior executive experience, including the identification, development and delivery of visionary projects.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate in the external and internal environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop robust strategic business plans including financial and business analysis that display commercial acumen.
- Risk management expertise.
- Expertise in managing and briefing internal and external advisors, contractors and/or business partners including legal and/or financial advisors.
- Experience in executive, committee and Board reporting including the development and delivery of business cases to achieve project approval.
