
Administration Coordinator

Resolve day to day operational issues regarding resources, workflows, procedures and staff within the team and assist with the review of work practices by identifying, managing and planning contingencies. The purpose of this position is to provide strategic direction and leadership to administrative staff within a client focused multi-disciplinary environment.Supervise staff in line with quality human resource management practices including the Professional Development Plan (PDP) competency assessment for administration and operational staff within the Administrative Support Service and Supply Section, and professional and mandatory training.Key competencies (role specific criteria)You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, supervise and manage a work team in the achievement of continuous high quality, client focussed outcomes. Demonstrated high level administrative skills highlighting efficiency and performance. High level interpersonal and communication skills, incorporating the ability to liaise effectively with the public, staff at all levels and external organisations; and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters appropriately. Ability to cope in a high-volume environment, and the ability to coordinate, prioritise and complete a number of different assignments of a complex nature within competing timeframes. Sound knowledge of, or the ability to acquire an understanding of human resource issues, including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.Qualifications, registrations and other requirementsWhile not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded. Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella. Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.
