Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager the Intake Coordinator provides a centralised point of entry for referrals and is responsible for the intake of all program referrals and initial completion of coordination paperwork, in consultation with Community Managers, and Care Coordinators. This role is pivotal in providing a personalised service and building effective working relationships with both internal and external clients. You will have a key role in liaising with staff, consumers and their families.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a demanding customer service environment
- Well-developed communication skills including effective verbal, electronic and written skills
- Advanced computer literacy with experience in client/data management systems
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks with competing demands
- Team player with the ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Displays a commitment to quality client service, values the supplying of accurate and timely information and relates to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to embrace, model and work within the core values of McLean Care Ltd.
Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge coupled with practical skills of operating within a busy office environment working with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience
- Previous experience working with older people and people with a disability and/or knowledge of Consumer Directed Care and Home Care Guidelines
- Experience working with electronic rostering systems
**Qualifications**:
- Current unencumbered Driver’s Licence
Desirable
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
