**What you’ll be doing**:
As a Reporting & Analytics Specialist at Virgin Australia, you'll drive strategic decision-making by transforming complex data into actionable insights that directly impact our profitability and performance. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and data analytics, offering the opportunity to shape how we understand and leverage information across the organization.

In this role, you will identify collaboration opportunities across business units to enhance data-driven insights while designing intuitive reporting solutions that simplify access to critical information. You'll lead process optimization initiatives to eliminate redundant activities and improve efficiency, while championing technology adoption to modernize our analytical capabilities. By partnering with stakeholders, you'll translate business challenges into analytical solutions and recommend operational changes that drive measurable performance improvements.

**You’ll be great in this role if you...**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of experience in an analytical role solving complex business problems
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and analytical mindset
- Proven track record developing and implementing SMART KPI’s that drive business outcomes
- Technical proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools including Power BI, SQL, R, and Python
- Exceptional organizational abilities with demonstrated capacity to manage competing priorities
- Meticulous attention to detail while maintaining focus on big-picture business objectives
- Adaptable problem-solver with a proactive approach to anticipating business needs
- Outstanding communication skills across written, verbal, and numerical contexts
- Experience confidently presenting complex information to executive leadership
- Track record of building influential relationships across organizational boundaries
- Strong understanding of financial principles and strategic business concepts

**Desirable but not essential...**
- Strong research capabilities with ability to uncover actionable insights
- Experience in aviation, travel, or transportation sectors
- Workshop facilitation expertise
- Proficiency in business intelligence dashboard development
- Working knowledge of airline systems and industry-specific metrics
