**Position Overview**

As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will be responsible for:

- Delivering high-quality education and care to children in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Implementing educational programs that reflect children’s individual needs, interests, and developmental goals.
- Building positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observing and documenting children’s progress and development.
- Supporting the team in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Complying with all policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

**Key Selection Criteria**

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
**Qualification and Experience**:

- A completed Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification) as per the requirements of the National Quality Framework.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in a licensed early childhood education setting.
- Sound understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Proven ability to develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for children.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning needs, and behaviour management strategies.
- Experience in observation, documentation, and assessment of children’s learning progress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and team members.

**Professionalism and Commitment**:

- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their learning and wellbeing.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Sound understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards
- A commitment to following workplace policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience in a leadership role or willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education trends and best practices.
