OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE

Bajara Plant Hire is a leading supplier of heavy machinery, plant and equipment (wet/dry) for the energy, rail, pipeline, mining, civil and construction sectors across Australia and PNG. The Opportunity

Bajara Plant Hire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team. This role is integral to the success and growth of our business and will play a leading role in delivery of our client projects and effectiveness of our plant and equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all Bajara fleet and assets including owned and subcontracted equipment.
- Coordinating and scheduling maintenance and servicing of fleet, working in with project requirements to ensure utilisation of our fleet is maximised.
- Primary point of contact for our Plant and Equipment Operators. This will include recruitment, onboarding, management and guidance of Operators across our projects.
- Coordination and management of Bajara’s workshop/depot and relevant personnel.
- Inventory Management and Budget Management and cost reporting.
- Liaise with key stakeholders (e.g. clients and suppliers) to ensure project and machinery requirements are met.

Required Skills and Experience
- Prior demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Relevant experience in operations management and implementation of systems and processes to drive business efficiency, reliability and outcomes
- **Thorough working knowledge of the civil construction, earthmoving and heavy plant hire industry**:

- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
- Highly effective interpersonal skills to liaise with people at all levels
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Travel within Queensland and interstate is expected

Pay: From $140,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Civil Construction and Heavy Earthmoving Equipment: 5 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
