As Communications and Engagement Lead, you will provide communications and engagement advice and implementation support.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an integrated communications approach and narrative for the program and/or business unit which is consistent with program objectives and strategic priorities.

Develop and implement initiatives and materials to build awareness of the client's program objectives and priorities and as well as support the business unit to enhance stakeholder relationships.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provide strategic advice to the business unit and relevant stakeholders on program-specific communication and stakeholder engagement opportunities, risks, and issues.
- Design and implement communication and engagement strategies and initiatives to support program delivery and advisory services and enhance reputation.
- Prepare engaging and strategically aligned messaging and content for a range of target audiences and channels including publications, presentations and digital.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with a range of internal stakeholders to deliver an integrated communications approach and narrative across the program.
- Monitor and identify communication and stakeholder risks and issues relating to the program and implement appropriate mitigation strategies and controls.
- Guide and monitor communication and engagement activities undertaken by consultants to ensure alignment with program and communication objectives, protocols, and statutory requirements.
- Work in partnership with the client's communications and engagement team to ensure a coordinated, consistent approach to stakeholder messaging, activities, and issues management in accordance with established governance and protocols.
- Evaluate and report on communication and engagement activities and outcomes to ensure alignment with objectives and support best practice engagement.

**Key Challenges**:

- Balance competing priorities and inputs from multiple stakeholders to achieve desired program and communication outcomes.
- Maintain awareness of program progress and broader context and understanding of the implications.
- Navigate the sensitivities of a matrix organisation and high profile, complex and politically sensitive environment and be flexible to respond to changing priorities.
