**The Company**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stakeholder Engagement and Extension Officer to contribute to the red meat and livestock export industry’s research, extension and adoption activities and outputs.

LiveCorp is the not-for-profit industry research and marketing body for livestock exporters. It delivers a range of services that support the sustainability and competitiveness of the Australian livestock export industry, including research, data and innovation, animal welfare, market access, training and communications. LiveCorp invests in research and overseas marketing activities through the Livestock Export Program (LEP), a jointly funded initiative with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), the industry service body for red meat producers.

**The Role**

This role is critical in driving communication, extension and adoption activities for research projects that advance the livestock export supply chain’s strategic objectives of improving animal health and welfare, supply chain efficiency and market access.

You will work alongside a driven and passionate team who strive to provide vital support services for industry.

In the role you will be responsible for the following:

- developing communication, extension, and adoption plans
- communication and extension outputs including website content, reports, presentations, updates, and media releases, infographics, articles
- coordinating participation at events showcasing RD&E
- stakeholder engagement with a wide variety of industry participants
- reviewing project documentation and reporting
- coordinating two industry committees, including logistics and secretariat duties
- supporting the RD&E Manager with project management

**The Person**

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- strong project and program management skills, preferably with an agriculture or science focus
- exceptional and effective written and oral communications skills
- strong attention to detail
- an ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
- self-motivation with the ability to effectively work unsupervised but also collaboratively in a small team environment
- willingness to travel occasionally for work

This role is genuinely dynamic and fast paced, facing new and exciting challenges on a regular basis. To be successful you will need to be a well organised and disciplined person, with a ‘can do‘ attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
