**Role Summary**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Manager to oversee the organisation and protection of DevelopmentWA documents, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements (including the State Records Act 2000) and internal policies.

This role will drive operational efficiency, maintain data integrity, and manage records throughout their lifecycle—from creation to destruction. Key responsibilities include improving document management practices, ensuring proper archiving and security, and delivering training to staff. The role also involves managing a Document Control Officer and overseeing outsourced records management until in-house operations are established.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Operational Oversight and Implementation
- Develop and manage information services aligned with DevelopmentWA’s objectives, maintaining Record Keeping Plan, policies, and disaster management plan.
- Lead and manage the performance of the Document Management Team.

Document and Information Management
- Oversee file classification, manage Records inbox, ensure stakeholder support, and promote best practices.
- Audit compliance, address risks, and collaborate with the PRIS champion to meet legislative requirements.
- Manage document destruction, coordinate file disposition to archives, and liaise with storage facilities.

EDRMS Management
- Update EDRMS guidelines, administer systems for compliance, and recommend improvements or resolve technical issues with vendors.

Reporting and Documentation
- Work with ICT to track compliance, audits, efficiency, and provide updates to management.
- Prepare reports on document management operations as needed.

Training and Awareness
- Deliver document management training and raise policy awareness across the organization.

FOI Management

Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with stakeholders to improve document management and serve as the main contact for records-related inquiries.

**About you**:

- Strong knowledge of records management principles, best practices and retention schedules.
- Demonstrated experience using an EDRMS, particularly Objective, Teams and SharePoint with proven capability in developing and implementing ongoing improvement opportunities.
- Excellent understanding or records management procedures and frameworks including information management legislation such as the State Records Act 2000.
- High level of interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with demonstrated leadership, relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
- Comfortable in an environment of uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Tertiary qualifications in Records Management, Library Science, Information Management, Business Administration or a related field and / or equivalent extensive experience in document management.
