**About the role**:
In the role of Principal Property Officer you will provide advice and guidance in matters involving the acquisition and disposal of transport properties. This includes development of comprehensive strategies, negotiating and influencing collaborative outcomes with stakeholders, effective project management including preparing consultant's briefs and conducting public consultation.
The role will include but not limited to;
- Provide clear and timely legal and physical right of way to land required for transport infrastructure projects of TMR or clients of TMR throughout Queensland.
- Provide specialist property advice to the Area Manager and senior management in relation to acquisition (resumption) of land for future infrastructure projects and property disposals.
- Conduct complex and sensitive negotiations with respect to property acquisition and disposal issues. Engage with land owners, businesses, other interested parties and their consultants/advisors.
- Represent the Property Acquisitions and Disposals Unit at community forums and meetings. Consult with owners and other proprietary interests in land (including native title) and their advisors in relation to their rights.

- Applies knowledge of case law and the regulatory and legislative framework relating to compulsory acquisition of property and other property dealings.
