**About the opportunity**
An excellent opportunity exists within our Finance section for a highly motivated and committed Revenue Systems Officer on a term contract, full-time basis for up to 3 years.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad range of Council’s rating and accounts functions, including:
- Assistance with rating system maintenance
- Debt recovery
- Participating in staff training
- Planning and developing system processes
- Ad-hoc rating analysis
- Monthly reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance and other rating duties as directed.
**Qualifications and experience**
**Essential**:
- TAFE certificate or equivalent
- Suitable qualifications or extensive experience (minimum two years) in a similar position within a large multi-purpose Council or large corporation
- Experience in rating and revenue systems
- Computer literate including systems and database skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Local Government experience.
**Desirable**:
- Experience using TechnologyOne software systems
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Availability to work flexible working hours
- Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
**Remuneration and benefits**
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,790.59 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
