**About the opportunity**

We are seeking two Project and Systems Officers to provide advice, support and assistance to our Community Law Enforcement and Waste teams on a permanent, full-time basis.

In the role, you would be responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of projects that improve our daily processes and systems. You will work in partnership with either the Coordinator Community Enforcement or Senior Coordinator Waste Services. You will be responsible for conducting research and projects in line with enforcement and waste operation objectives. This position would be suited to someone with strong reporting and analytical skills with a proven track record in building and maintaining reporting systems.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Diploma qualification in a related field
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office
- Current class C driver's licence.

**Desirable**:

- Demonstrated experience in project and contract management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven negotiation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Experience and skills in research and analysis
- Ability in promoting continuous improvement/change processes and management of systems
performance
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of expertise in the use of computer software packages such as MS Office
- Strong commitment to and experience in providing excellent customer service
- Ability to prepare clear and concise correspondence and reports within strict timeframes
- High level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,790.59 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Leaseback vehicle
