**The Opportunity**

We currently have two Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover contracts (8 months and 12 months) available in our Newcastle office.

As a Claims Consultant, you will be a part of a team of experienced Claims professionals, delivering a high quality of service to our customers. You will experience working in a very dynamic industry where loss can be extreme and at times attract media attention. Your role will be to help our customers in time of need and deliver on our claims promise philosophy. The role will provide you with a significant level of autonomy, to manage your own workload, whereby you will have the opportunity to review and manage a diverse range of claims from inception to completion. You will also have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of mobile plant and machinery insurance claims such as material damage, financial loss and both road risk and broadform liability claims. You will also work with various claims fundamentals such as managing repairs, total loss, financial recovery process, salvage, litigation and engage opportunities to work with our customer and help them mitigate loss.

Your role will also entail your ability to work alongside of your industry experts to assist in making the right policy decisions in assisting our customers.

Reporting to the National Claims Manager (AU), this role calls for an individual passionate about customer service with the ability to build strong working relationships, with our brokers, service providers and internal Business Development Managers (BDM). Your specialist product knowledge will help you to succeed in this role and provide claims service to intermediaries on UAA lines.

**Your Experience**
- You must have minimum of 2 years Customer Service experience
- You will have a customer-focused mindset which will help to assist you with building strong working relationships with all intermediaries
- You will have a superior attention to detail and strong, disciplined time management skills are essential
- A high level of computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel
- Your ability to work in a close-knit team environment will be prominent and valued
- You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Your well-developed negotiation skills will assist when managing claims and repairs for our clients and third party claimants
- You may have experience working in a similar role, customer service role, insuring or working in the Mobile plant and equipment industry, this is desirable but not necessary

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
