Correspondence Coordinator

About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Office of the Deputy Director-General, the Correspondence Coordinator works autonomously to provide correspondence coordination and compilation for the Deputy Director-General, Director-General and the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services (the Minister).
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Autonomously and proactively assign, track and monitor all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Review and edit outgoing correspondence to ensure a quality product which is compliant with departmental guidelines.
- Coordinate and manage requests for information from the Office of the Deputy Director-General, the Director-General, and the Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services (the Minister).
- Review, develop, evaluate and improve divisional correspondence systems, processes, procedures and guidelines.
- Support branch correspondence officers and staff to deliver high quality correspondence.
- Manage work in a complex, time critical and high-volume environment, prioritising and coordinating competing priorities within required timeframes.
- Establish and maintain professional, effective working relationships with all stakeholders including staff of the branches in Strategy, Policy and Reform Division, Ministerial and Executive Services Unit, Office of the Director-General, Cabinet and Parliamentary Services and other Divisions of Queensland Health.
The successful person
**The successful person will demonstrate**:
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitively and confidentially during all interactions and liaisons with staff and/or clients.
- Ability to produce quality outcomes, with close attention to detail to ensure that documentation and communication is of the highest quality.
- Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of incoming/outgoing correspondence/requests and prioritise and organise workflow, in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.

The Office of the Deputy Director-General
The Office of the Deputy Director-General (DDG) is responsible for supporting the DDG to lead strategy, policy and reform across the health system.
The team provides coordinated, comprehensive and accurate advice for the Director-General, the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services and other key health service stakeholders.
