- Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse and sparsely populated area. With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.**About the Role**
- The Communication Officer role at GSHS is critical, tasked with managing both the internal and external communication strategies. Directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible in fostering and maintaining a positive public image and facilitating effective communication throughout the organisation.**About You**
- The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience as an Communication Officer high level administrator willing to undertake further training which will be supported
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Strong administration skills, including IT skills to use a range of Microsoft products, Canva, and other desktop publishing packages
- Strong commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to generate content for social media and local publications is an advantage
- Able to lead and coordinate a small working team
