**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Part Time - Ongoing (4 days per week)
- Band 5: $60,144.87 (pro rata) + 11.5 % superannuation
- Flexible work arrangements available

A unique opportunity exists for a Cultural and Curatorial Officer to be responsible for the general management, operation and presentation of the Council’s cultural collections across the shire, with exhibitions and associated information management, collection acquisitions, research and publishing.

With a passion for the arts and cultural tourism, your key responsibilities will include:

- General management, operation and presentation of Council’s cultural collection across the shire, including Coal Creek Community Park and Museum.
- Updating records, basic research, handling objects, undertaking routine cataloguing for Council’s Cultural Collection.
- Development of exhibitions, both temporary and permanent.
- Assist in ensuring that Council implements the actions identified in the Arts, Culture and Visitor Economy Strategies.
- Identify opportunities and initiate action to improve collection management systems and processes.
- Build strategic relationships between other organisation teams, departments, and external organisations to achieve business goals.
- Analyse information, generate alternatives, and commit to solutions that ensure the efficient use of organisational resources in collection management.

**ABOUT YOU**:
To be considered for this role you will have relevant qualifications in Cultural or Arts Collection Management.

You will also have experience in Curatorial, Museum and/or the Art industry, collection management, with development and implementation of exhibitions/displays.

You must have excellent time management skills and the ability to plan and organise workload, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide meaningful customer service.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage projects including competing priorities is a must.
