- Unilever North Rocks Supply Chain Sourcing Unit was established in late 1960s and is dedicated to the production of Home & Personal Care products for the local Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) markets as well as Aerosols for the Asia export market. We produce leading household brands including Rexona, Impulse, Omo, Surf, Dove & Tresemme. The Sourcing Unit is continually transforming to remain competitive in the market and has recently built a new Laundry Capsules Factory in addition to the Liquids and Aerosols factories.
- Job Summary
- We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist on a 6-month fixed term contract at our North Rocks facility.
- Role Responsibilities:

- Risk assessments of all new materials with regards to occupational health and manual handling by participating in the RA sessions.
- Together with the QAE Team members, carry out microbiological risk assessments on new Raw materials and determine sampling frequencies.
- Quality
- Ordering of chemicals and equipment for quality testing
- Calibrations of quality instruments
- Chemical testing of raw materials, finished products and complaint samples
- Chemical testing of effluent water and storm water when required
- Microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products
- Release raw material in SAP
- Release of finished products in SAP
- Aligning laboratory test methods with UMA methods
- Preparation of dust papers and Galley samplers for enzyme production
- Enzyme analysis of dust papers, ring tests and finished products
- Microbiological Testing and providing results to QAE Team Leader
- Does this sound like You:

- Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry either from University or Technical College.
- Experience working in Quality and/or in Analytical laboratory.
- Good communications and organisational skills, written and verbal
- Working knowledge of quality systems (depending on experience)
